It's been fun to design stuff that actually people receive daily rather than waiting for years for it to come out to the public. I learn that without audience art is nothing but some ideas on paper. Public audience is the main reason art is expanding. At least in my opinion.

Hotels & Spa Brochure Design

Street Brochure Design

Billboard Sign - size 3 metres wide and 2 metres high

Website Header

Theres lot more design I'll post it up very soon...ping-PONGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12472899733407244017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4768309062544154976.post-88957465975499207152011-06-14T20:49:00.000-07:002011-06-14T20:54:16.631-07:00Sculpting Base Form - Female pt.1I spent like 3-4 hours on this model and this is what I got. Then I brought it to Photoshop and did a little paint over the 3d model. Still not sure what kind of design I should go, I know it should be Chinese/oriental design but I never design before. I guess I just need to keep trying.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 277px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fAzWnm7v5xI/TfgsnIR7obI/AAAAAAAAAfU/VTg1nZAioYA/s320/WIP_GodEmpressZhang.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618289585893908914" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 178px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-W3Ji8xgSy70/TfgsmwvW6dI/AAAAAAAAAfM/kIqtk6Y1_IY/s320/002_wip_FemaleInitialForm.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5618289579574880722" />ping-PONGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12472899733407244017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4768309062544154976.post-74443920255181059862011-06-03T07:39:00.000-07:002011-06-13T06:00:01.236-07:00Final Concept - Project III got the full idea of what I want my second character to be. Quite tedious work but I learned so much technical aspects of modeling, UV-ing and texture maps. I read books, search for help on some CG forum, watch video tutorials, basically find all helps I can get. Although the best help I get is from trying and practice. Practice makes me faster, remember stuff easier and trying helped me find the answer. I can't figure out why its not showing my texture and everything seem to look "waxy". I just stop and then I tried simple in game rendering style, with normal, diffuse and spec map. I used Blinn as my material. Took me only 1 hour of tweaking to get acceptable in game look, next gen look!! I'll continue texturing the rest of the assets then I'll post it up.

PONG

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 198px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YJ6dpwnczCE/Tb_onMooXAI/AAAAAAAAAcY/w-7WcMaoR98/s320/mayaViewPortRender.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5602452221576371202" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 235px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8yPPI9FMxDI/Tb_om8wl-yI/AAAAAAAAAcQ/apVhcq5YDKI/s320/mayaSoftwareRender.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5602452217314802466" />ping-PONGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12472899733407244017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4768309062544154976.post-85139169495999188642011-05-02T08:39:00.000-07:002011-05-02T08:45:08.392-07:00Painting Skin in ZbrushAlright I did a simple uv layout in Maya, just to allow me to paint the model in Zbrush. Then I start painting the skin layer(backscatter, epidermal, subdermal, etc) For this test I painted only the head. I add matcap to it and then tweaked the color and add a little photoshoped texture. And here are the screens from Zbrush Viewport. Very happy with the result.

Maharddhika

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 217px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Fjaff3QnXnI/Tb7RcqUJMrI/AAAAAAAAAcI/d_42-b2Xdqk/s320/polypaintTestplusMatcap.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5602145276820796082" />ping-PONGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12472899733407244017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4768309062544154976.post-58832566319944562212011-04-30T18:56:00.001-07:002011-04-30T19:03:23.163-07:00Sculpting CompletedAfter days of trying I finally have to end the sculpting phase. What a wonderful feeling! Finally the fun time will soon begin, tomorrow actually. Well anyway here some picture of the final model in Maya. So I open my old anatomy book and begin my anatomical journey from there.

Pong

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 207px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hxW4WwVb-6c/Tae8U105rwI/AAAAAAAAAaA/0b_dE8IPSX0/s320/human_male_anatomy_web.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595648128263499522" />ping-PONGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12472899733407244017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4768309062544154976.post-64501758750782570812011-04-13T19:28:00.000-07:002011-04-13T19:37:01.486-07:00Modeling The Helmet pt.4I wasn't so sure if I'm gonna be able to make a hard surface prop. I usually stop halfway and the final piece is a mesh. But this time I put patience as well as passion. I slowly sculpt the shape and after couple of hours tweaking vertices, I got what I wanted - a helmet. Man I'm so hopeful now, this is a good start I said to myself.

Pong

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 135px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-FFwlDg7cirg/TaZdopiHX4I/AAAAAAAAAZ4/kdkhf0hU7bY/s320/04_helmet.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595262539979513730" />ping-PONGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12472899733407244017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4768309062544154976.post-14594530062300001022011-04-11T18:31:00.000-07:002011-04-11T18:36:34.266-07:00Correcting Anatomy & Proportion pt.3I ended up have to corrected the proportion of the body. Now I'm trying to get the basic structure of the facial features of my character's head. I'll keep modeling in Maya until my mesh ready for the Detailing step.

Pong

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 78px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pyxQZa81ZOk/TaOsMfmRYtI/AAAAAAAAAZw/VGf8X3tU-nk/s320/body_proportion.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5594504492764717778" />ping-PONGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12472899733407244017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4768309062544154976.post-41277751547534029172011-04-09T19:33:00.001-07:002011-04-09T19:38:54.371-07:00Modeling Male Body Polygon pt.2A little update on the project I currently work on. Finally finish the base body mesh. Still not sure what kind of character I'm trying to portray, but soon I gotta figure it out anyway. This mesh about 3000 tris/1500 faces.

Pong

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 147px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hY5MXfp8gkM/TaEXzfWSy7I/AAAAAAAAAZo/7jUOI9jDDlI/s320/genbodymesh_001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5593778385526639538" />ping-PONGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12472899733407244017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4768309062544154976.post-66756862554788901022011-04-08T02:07:00.000-07:002011-04-08T02:12:41.713-07:00Modeling Generic Head pt.1Currently I'm practicing my modeling skills, kind of rusty after away from three-d for some time. Anyway just a generic head model, about 3000 triangles (5500 including the inner mouth).

Pong

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 152px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vAcNrEr-_YA/TZ7RcdwROmI/AAAAAAAAAZg/C4cbFvlueoE/s320/generic_head_001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5593138074194360930" />ping-PONGhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12472899733407244017noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4768309062544154976.post-67374423519443266352010-12-06T20:05:00.000-08:002010-12-07T01:51:45.973-08:00Now I'm Home!Being a Balinese and staying at home is always nice.
